Upcoming Mini-Sessions…no sitting fee

I am thrilled to announce that I will be offering mini-sessions on the afternoon of Saturday, September 29th!
There will not be a session fee for the minis, although clients will have a minimum print order requirement of $50.00. Sessions will be 15-20 minutes in length…long enough to capture good and relaxed images of your child or family….without being so long that children (or the Dads in family sessions…ha!) get tired and bored with it. This is a great opportunity to take your Fall and/or holiday photos.
Please rsvp if you would like to schedule a mini-session!

Check out these eyes….

She’s a gorgeous girl, isn’t she?

My take on the tutu trend….

I took Libby for a very short photo session this evening. I wanted to get some of her in her tutu and new rainboots. We had exactly 45 minutes to go wherever I was going to take the photos and get back to the house…so this was fast. She is such a ham :) We had fun. We only made it to two locations, but since they were on opposite ends of town, that’s pretty good!

I’d like to get at least one of them printed big for the house…don’t tell Chris.

I’m going to load the whole shoot onto my proofing site and give the link here in case you’d like to see them all. I’ll do that tomorrow. For now, here are a bunch of my favorites.

Fun stuff from today…

Updates to my website

I did a lot of updating on my website…new photos added, old removed, did some more editing to existing ones. I think it looks much better. I’d love for you to take a look and let me know what you think. My friend and photographer extraordinaire (yeah, I know I spelled that wrong, but the spellcheck wouldn’t help me out) Amy (I have her link on my personal blog) helped me pick which photos to add. Please always feel free to leave comments here….I never get them and they make my day when I do ;)

Bug’s turn…and one more of Monkey

From tonight…..

Playing around

I’ve been interested in playing with textures that add ‘age’ to a photo. I thought this one was fun. The texture came from adding a photo of the driveway and a photo of the tree over the photo, at a low opacity.

Two down, one to go….

On Saturday I shot the second of three weddings I have booked this Summer. It was just the type of laid back wedding I love…in a State Park overlooking a rock cliff and the lake. The weather went from full sun, to overcast, to dark and stormy (thunder and lightning) then back to overcast. That made it challenging for me, which the changing light conditions, but I had a great time. There was an amazing rainbow when the rain was tapering off, must be a good sign for the couple.
Sharing a bunch of my favorites so far…still have about a quarter of them to proof.
