Busy, Busy, Busy….that’s my little friend, ‘A’

I had fun chasing this little 18 month around all over the park yesterday. And her big brother was an awesome model!

My own personal model

My beautiful friend, Megan, rocks. She lets me drive her around aimlessly and photograph her.

For about a year now I’ve wanted to do a shoot at a location I drive by often. It’s an ancient abandoned motel that has fallen in on itself and is all overgrown. It’s right on the highway. Megan agreed to wear her wedding dress for me and go do a very gritty shoot there…. We piled in the car and drove the 20 or 30 miles to get there and tried to find the road to get to it from the highway. Well, it doesn’t appear that there is one. We drove and drove and drove trying to find a way to get there, zig-zagging our way through the country taking old roads in search for the magic one.

When we suddenly came up on the town about 15 (or more) miles from there we realized that we’d made a few wrong turns.

We are going to try and figure out a way to get some information about it and get back out there soon. On the way home we did come across a collapsed farm and house, so jumped out and shot a few. We decided to save the wedding dress for when we do get into the motel. I like the tough photos we got. Megan is the best person to photograph…she’s natural and comfortable in front of the camera and knows how to move and pose to give a certain ‘look’. I am sure it comes from her past in acting.

here are a few from our excursion…which was incredibly fun despite not getting our motel shots.

Models, anyone?

I was thrilled to shoot Sarah and Bob’s engagement photos….they are fun and hilarious and so loving. AND my daughter gets to be their flower girl for the wedding!

So, Sarah and Bob, I hope you love these…there are a ton more coming soon!

Welcome to the new blog!!

I have a brand new look! And it’s hosted right on my server, so I’m now a one stop shop. :)

I have migrated all of my old posts over to the new blog, so you can still find them. You’ll notice how different those old posts look, however, once I start posting some new work. The photos will be much larger and more clear.

Please remember to bookmark the new address and visit often!

Have a great day!

big kids

My friends Dani and Megan let me use them as models this weekend….

Two more

I just finished proofing this session and wanted to share two more. Your gallery will be up tonight, Sheila!

It goes too fast!!

I photographed this handsome little man when he was two weeks old….and then again on Sunday….and he’s already 6 months old!! Where does time go?

More of mine….

My two year old has been very happy about the camera lately so I’m taking full advantage after a year of no smiles :)
