Fun Family Session

I had a great time photographing this family. I still can’t believe that this beautiful woman is a science writer (I had the opportunity to do the photographs for her book jacket)….she’s SO not the stereotypical scientist! :) Congrats again, Miriam!!

More from the Block (portrait) Party!

Portrait party that was more like a block party!

I’m in the middle of editing photos from my last portrait party and wanted to share. The rest of the previews from the party will be up shortly.

This was a really cool portrait party…only one guest was not a neighbor of the hostess. It worked out great, because I was able to go to each of their homes for their mini-sessions, making it fun for them and even more unique photos!

Pure Sweetness

This young man was the easiest newborn I’ve ever photographed….he slept nearly the entire time, with very few fussy spots… and I think these photos show that gentle sweetness that he has

Soul Reflection Photography in the news!

The Appleton Post Crescent ran a story today about my studio and what separates it from the rest… I wanted to share the link to the article online so you can take a look!

a different kind of session

The Appleton Post Crescent is running an article about me and my studio on Monday in the business section. They decided to photograph me doing a session to show how I usually work…so this was the model I chose. I haven’t officially had a session with him before (just a couple of shots here and there for fun) so I was THRILLED to have the opportunity!!

On another note, I was able to photograph this gorgeous High School senior and I had to share these, even though I’ve only just started proofing her session. I’m loving these!

My SanFrancisco Session

I was hired by a beautiful family to shoot family portraits. What’s the big deal, you ask? Said family lives in SanFrancisco!

Fortunately I was able to work the session into my schedule when I was there to run the SanFrancisco Marathon. We did the session at Golden Gate Park, which is beautiful (although, after spending many miles of the marathon inside of it I was finding it harder to see said beauty), and Gretchen and her family are absolutely stunning.
